July

Nan’s Lavender Farm
July 13th
Who doesn’t love the sweet scents of lavender? Lavender is from the Mediterranean originally, and not from England, as most people may think. The name lavender, is derived from the Latin verb lavare- to wash. It’s been used for more than 2,500 years, and the medicinal uses of the plants, are still being used to this day.
We’ll be exploring Nan’s Lavender Farm at 339 Cheese Factory Road in Lindsay on Monday, July 13th at 11:30 am. Jen will be available to answer our questions about plants, soils, or whatever else you may want to inquire about. There’s a lovely shop with many lavender products to purchase, if you so wish.
The Lavender Farm is closed to the public on July 13th , but Jen has graciously offered to open that day exclusively for our Probus members.
This event is free to our members.
Enjoy the scents of summer with friends!
